My name is Qasim Khilji (/KaaˈSim/). I am a data geek residing in Tempe, Arizona and working in the OTT advertising space. I have been working in the Digital Marketing and Advertising Industry since 2015 specializing in maximizing profitability and driving down the Ad costs. Currently, I am working as a Senior Manager, Yield and Analytics with Premion, TEGNA’s industry-leading streaming advertising business, which generated $100M+ in revenues in 2021. I am a creative individual, experienced in managing ad operations teams and working cross functionally across clients, planning, finance, product and the data engineering teams. I have worked as a Yield Supervisor, Campaign Manager, SEO manager and Social Media Marketing manager in the past.
I have consistently been recognized for exceeding expectations year over year and setting high standards for productivity and quality of work. My passion is to serve businesses with meaningful data so that they reach their business goals. I have been using Microsoft Excel since 2007 and it has been a reliable tool in my toolbox. However, over the years I have learned Python, SQL, PowerBI and ThoughtSpot (among others) to keep up with the current data trends. I am comfortable with change, competition, and the challenges of the ever-evolving media technology landscape.
I enjoy measuring and analyzing OTT campaigns and seeing results. I am analytical, and up to speed on recent changes in the OTT industry as well as overall digital marketing trends. I don’t take NO for an answer. Anyone who works in digital ads space can attest: things do not always work. However, I always get to the bottom of it and find a solution. That is why I can comfortably say that I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty; I love to find creative solutions. I not only strive to make more money for my company, but I also help companies generate more traffic, conversions, leads, sales, upsells, and profits that we work with.
When not at work, you can find me playing with my two beautiful daughters, helping small businesses grow their presence online (unpaid), hiking, playing Tennis, or hunting for spicy food in Tempe, Arizona.
It’s possible by now that you know more about me than you ever really wanted to know, so thanks again for reading!

I remember my first glimpse at technology. It was the year 2000 and my uncle, who is a civil engineer, bought a windows computer, probably HP (Hewlett-Packard). He played a game and then let me play next. Iwas hooked right away. Over the years I learned more about computers from my classmates who would let me use their computers when we studied together for tests and exams.
HTML CSS
For the first seven years I could paint, play music, watch videos and play games on the computer. That was my basic computer usage. However, my website designing journey began in 2007 during my first year of college in an Information Technology class.
Advance HTML CSS JS
In 2008, I started working with a pharmaceutical company as a sales assistant (invoicing to clients). It was my first teenage job. One of my colleagues, Bilal Khan who was learning computer programming at that time, taught me a few advanced skills about HTML and JS.
Freelancing
In 2010, I received a project from one of my online friends from Austrailia, Nagi O. He had been doing business in china from 2008 to 2018. He needed a website for his business. ATech Global Trading. This was my first ever website project as a freelancer. The quality of the first website I created was very poor. So, he wanted me to enroll in a certification course to learn Webstie Designing and Development. In 2011, I graduated from Subash Education Complex. Peshawar with a Certification. When I redesigned the ATech Global Trading website, it was amazing. The website was live from 2011 to 2018, when ATech closed its business in China.
Getting a Full Time Job
In 2011, I got a job with an Implementing Partner of the United Nations in Pakistan. I worked there in a few roles from 2011 to 2016. In January 2012, my boss MrHamish Khan wanted me to create a database and found that we needed a complete Information System instead of a basic database. So I created the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) using HTML, PHP, JS and MySQL. I stoppedd working in hardcore coding, and started working in Content Management Systems (CMS) like WordPress, joomla and drupal.
For some reason, I couldn’t see any value for my programming skills so I quit. I regret that decision till today because I created amazing websites and databases without any proper mentorship.
Anyways, I picked up computer programming again in 2021. I have taught myself Python and SQL via Udemy and LinkedIn learning. I am planning to continue my coding learning from now on without any break…
